Reconstruction of Metal Structures at the Aiviekste Hydroelectric Power Station

24/11/2024

As part of this project, the metal structure for the crane operation range at the Aiviekste Hydroelectric Power Station is being reconstructed and extended.

A new structure is being built on both sides of the power station, with new hoists (cranes) installed to ensure the lifting and placement of the water sluices in the Aiviekste River before the hydroelectric station.

Tracks with trolleys have been constructed, on which the lifted sluices will be placed and moved to a side position, away from the work zone and the roadway.

Foundation works for the new metal structure columns are being carried out. Piles have been driven in at the foundation locations to ensure load-bearing capacity.

At the completion of the project, landscaping works will be carried out, including the installation of curb stones, application of topsoil, lawn seeding, and asphalt laying.
